So after reading the synopsis, I figured why not? I could use a good romance. A girl and guy, from two different places falling in love. What could possibly go wrong? Everything. This book swept me off my feet and left me crying before the story ended.

Plot: Let me tell you that I should not assume when I'm reading a book exactly what I'm reading. Cause by now you think I learned my lesson. I assumed that this romance would be easy. And my god is wasn't. Every plot twist and angle, just made my heart melt for the couple but also mourn for the couple. The build up to the last and final nail in the coffin did me in and I cried.

Love: This love should be given the chance to last forever. But what is so beautiful about this love is how short time was for them. GAH! I wish there could have been more time. In the moments that they shared love it was the best love ever. The kind the makes you swoon, the kind that touches your heart and won't forget. The kind of love that survives even when people around you try to bring it down. It's amazing.

Ending: What else can I tell you other than I cried like a baby. I even re-read the last few pages just to make sure I wasn't imagining things. It was a bittersweet ending that I won't forget.

I've wanted to read Komal's books for some time and finally got around to this one. I wasn't disappointed. Lincoln and Hadie are extremely appealing and the chemistry between them is electric, The author continually teases you with hints as to why Linc moved from NYC and why his mother is a total self-centered witch about it, but when the truth is revealed, it's a shock (at least to me) and kicks up the story another couple notches. I'm certainly going to read the rest of her books very soon.
tissues yes you will need lot's and lot's of tissues but not until you get a little over half ways through the book i normally can hold back my tears but not this time i'm just very glad i was home and alone i could not stop the water works with that being said i will try not to give to much info on the details of this story so bare with me the first part of the book kinda dragged on a little much it starts off kinda typical boy cheats on girl she has a chip on her shoulder new boy lincoln comes to school meets hadie right after breakup they like each other it takes hadie a little while to admit it but she does then they start dating lincoln has his secret like i said they drag this out to a point your like come on already then they do and i had to stop and skip to back of book to see how it ended then i wasn't sure if i wanted to finish it or not but i did and cue the water works this is a good love story after hadie learns lincoln's secret their is no fighting or feeling of betrayal, together they deal with his "secret" together although i didn't like parts of this book it is still 5 star worthy
Wow, I am going to try to share how moving this story was for me. I am still just so emotional after reading this one that it is hard to put into words. I typically read more lighthearted stories, or even ones when the couple experiences hardships or struggles, they always get their HEA; those type of stories give me a chance to have a little escape and daydream of the loving events that these couples share. This love story hit hard because it brought the reality of love and life and how very precious and fragile they are. Lincoln is a precious force in Hadie's life; I was so impressed with the grace, strength and maturity he had in the wake of his circumstance. And sweet, quirky, and endearing Hadie was just what Lincoln needed. I have fallen for them both, and I would love to see what the future has in store. This was quite an emotional read, and I am exhausted. One last note, Lincoln's Mother and Sister are a piece of work and I was cringing at how selfish, immature and shallow they both were, which just made me love and respect Lincoln all the more. Wow, what an incredible story.
WOW! OH MY GOD. AND,DAMN YOU BOOK! I did not expect the book to conclude the way it did. It started out as your typical teenage age storyline. Hadie caught her childhood crush and now boyfriend cheating on her with some beautiful girl. They break up and new hot guy student named Lincoln comes in. Hadie has to show him around the school. She doesn't like him because she compares him to the typical jerk cheating jock , like her ex is. The more time they spend together, the more they realize how they seem to bring out the best in one another. All their worries and insecurities disappear while their together. Lincoln makes her sees things from a different perspective and makes her go out of her norm. She steps out her box with him. They truly complete each other. THEN YOU FIND OUT WHAT'S WRONG WITH HIM. You kind of suspect it, but when he tells her the truth it's surreal. I don't want to give away the story, but it's a tragedy. I would have given this book the five star review, but there's one thing that was disturbing. His mother's and sisters reaction to him. To me, I don't believe a mother and your twin sister would be so cold and heartless. That part was completely unrealistic. The book still would've been a beautiful story without their selfishness. It was over done. And, I was disappointed at how it ended. BUT, this is a truly loving and inspiring book. Lincoln is a true hero and leading man. He puts other leading men to shame. This book was written from the heart and I'm deeply touched. MUST READ
