I love the story of Amber--the world building is truly fascinating.

That said, I don't much care for Zalazny's writing style. You get such lines as, " 'Agreed,' I agreed." But I did like it well enough to pick up the next book, so perhaps that's telling enough about how captivating the story line is. :-)

I blame this more om myself than the seller, although the pic did show the wrong volume, I was looking for volume 1 and mistakenly got volume 2, but I eventually bought "The Great Book of Amber" with all 10 volumes in the series, I am hoping to sell this book so that I can at least recoup some of the money I spent on it. At any rate will gladly do business with this seller again, and the price I paid for this volume was great.
I love all his books. I bought this for my grandson, I hope he enjoys it as much as I did!
These are classic books I stumbled upon as a young adult and was happy to buy them and pass them on. The characters and plot are as relevant now as they've ever been and the story resonates with me all over.
Just as great the umpteenth reading as they were the first - lovely set, well made, great price. If you love sci-fantasy, this is a set you should most definitely buy.
Terrific book, have not finished it... way too busy, but I am up to page 200, and I'm really enjoying it. Reminds me of the Rivalry my brother and I have always had... Same parents... hardly ever thinking the same way about almost any subject. This book is highly recommmended.
This is a really great piece of fantasy. The only problem is there are a lot of typos in this book. That's why I only gave it a 4 star rating instead of 5. Someone should have proof read this first. There is a lot of action. Never a dull moment.
This is the first of a two volume set containing that part of Zelazny's Amber series which deals with Corwin, one of the princes of Amber. This volume contains the first two of the series, "Nine Princes in Amber" and "Guns of Avalon". It's nice to have both in hardback, but there is a new edition which has all 10 of the Amber novels written by Zelazny, so I would recommend that instead.
